Words Alive [Story Station] is my students’ favorite distance learning activity! The book selection is great, and the reader is highly engaging. The reader also engages students and caregivers in awesome reading comprehension work that I can easily build on. I highly recommend Words Alive to all teachers looking to engage with families during this period of school closure!

I have been implementing Words Alive with 6th graders via their weekly Covid19 journal. Each week I pull a journal prompt from Words Alive and one from another source... This past week many chose to do the [Words Alive] Emotion poem. I really appreciate QuaranTEENS section because it is providing a resource to help with mental wellness and mindfulness during this time. I feel we all need this more than we realize.
